Info. For Traveling Guests

If you are coming from out of town...

For guests that are traveling from out-side of day trip distance, Cesare and I thank you greatly for traveling from a far to celebrate our love with us! Asheville, NC is a destination. It has been well known for it's beautiful mountains, unique and artistic culture, and tourist attractions. We invite you to plan your stay at a hotel or Airbnb close to Haiku, I Do where the ceremony and reception will occur. Asheville has a vibrant hospitality industry given it's popular tourist industry and you will find many great accommodations that fit your travel budget.

We also invite you to check out the Asheville Attractions page for recommended venues to enjoy while you are there. You can additionally do your own research online. Asheville has many outdoors activities like trails, kayaking, and national parks for the nature enthusiast. It's downtown area is also full of boutiques and novelty shops, high quality foodie cuisine, and a unique bohemian culture that is worth experiencing while your here. Finally, try exploring other major tourist spots in the region like the Biltmore Estate that have unique national architectural value and cultural significance.

Some words about the impact of Hurricane Helene...

If you've been tuned into to national news in hurricane season of 2024, then you know Asheville, NC sadly dominated national news for awhile due to it experiencing a natural disaster. Asheville was hit with Hurricane Helene and faced record breaking floods, property damage, and fatalities. While some of the local culture has recovered and resumed operating, sadly there are still many roads and places that haven't recovered. Due to this, out of state guests will sadly have to miss out on some experiences that might of otherwise been recommended. Famous areas that might of been a good day trip like Chimney Rock and Lake Lure and other notable areas outside of Asheville are no longer accessible by road. We wish you could of experienced some of these unique local tourist spots, but sadly did not anticipate such a record breaking and highly unusual natural disaster. So be aware some venues and experiences will be closed or inaccessible due to this. If you have an extended stay planned for the wedding and are trying to find things to do out of town, and within driving distance, please be sure to look online if roads may be too damaged to travel on before finalizing any plans.

There are still many things to do and that are worth checking out. We'll try to keep adding things to the Asheville Attractions page to give you recommended options to spend your time out side of the wedding event days. Please check it for updates as we get closer to the wedding.
